At Arizona State University, Dr. Nicholas Duran leverages peer assessment to motivate his cognitive science students to engage more deeply with writing tasks. Peer review, in combination with tighter guidelines for citations and complex assignment prompts, allows Duran to feel more confident students won’t be able to outsource writing to AI chatbots.
