Peerceptiv Meets Instructure’s Foundational Evidence (★) Criteria
Peerceptiv has earned the Foundational Evidence (★) – 2025 badge through Instructure’s Research Certification framework. For institutions that rely on Instructure’s Research Certification as part of their edtech review process, the Foundational Evidence (★) badge signals that Peerceptiv meets established criteria for research grounding and transparency.
How This Fits Within Peerceptiv’s Established Research Foundation
Peerceptiv is grounded in nearly two decades of journal‑published, peer‑reviewed research on peer assessment, learning sciences, and improving student outcomes. That research informed the design of Peerceptiv’s core features, including its approaches to peer feedback, scoring validity, and scalable assessment.
Instructure’s Research Certification evaluates products against a specific evidence rubric. It does not assess, validate, or summarize the entirety of Peerceptiv’s research base, nor does it replace the extensive body of peer‑reviewed scholarship that underpins Peerceptiv’s design.
What “Foundational Evidence (★)” Means
As part of Instructure’s Research Certification process, Instructure’s research team worked with Peerceptiv to develop and review a logic model and supporting literature review. Trained reviewers applied a Research Certification Rubric informed by widely used evidence frameworks (including WWC, ESSA, and the U.S. Department of Education) and evaluated five factors: sample, methodology, baseline equivalence, implementation and findings, and theoretical rationale.
Based on this review, Instructure determined that Peerceptiv’s Foundational Evidence Study met both indicators required for the Foundational Evidence (★) level.
Meeting the Foundational Evidence (★) criteria reflects Peerceptiv’s continued commitment to research-based best practices, transparent evidence, and ongoing study. As additional studies progress, Peerceptiv remains committed to advancing learning through rigorous research.
