New Features for 2024
Now is the perfect time to add a Peerceptiv assignment to your winter or spring classes. If you are looking to add more student collaboration and engagement to your classes and improve learning outcomes, consider using peer learning. Our instructional support team is happy to meet on Zoom to set things up for you, or the Assignment Creation Wizard can get you on your way. Updates for January 2024 include structured group learning, learner guidance for self-improvement, and more authentic assessment options. Peerceptiv is designed to support authentic assessment at any scale with research-based peer learning.
Review Circles
The Reviewing Circles tool provides instructors with greater control over assigning reviews. Instructors can assign reviewing within a group or team, as well as between groups. Create specific groups of reviewers, tailored to the unique dynamics of your course. Review Circles can be maintained throughout the semester, fostering better group learning and cohesive experiences across multiple assignments.
Reflection Stage
Peerceptiv’s new, optional Reflection stage offers a ‘final step’ where learners reflect on their work through the lens of the comments and ratings they’ve received. Students using Peerceptiv will now have the opportunity to reflect on their assignments and develop concrete next steps to improve their work. This boosts critical thinking and fosters a growth mindset.
Live Presentations
Improve career readiness by offering authentic assessment experiences that mirror the professional environment. With Live Presentations, students can get real-time feedback from their peers in the audience. No submissions needed – reviewers select presenters by name or group name, and provide reviews based on the instructors’ rubric. Engage students in the audience and foster a dynamic and supportive atmosphere during presentations.
